34 Weeks 5 Days

For the past week or so I have been sick with a cold which has only added to my existing state of misery.  As the babies get bigger and bigger it gets harder and harder for me to get up and down off of the couch or out of the bed.  I have recently developed a very loud snore that is actually loud enough to wake Larry from his deep slumber; it even wakes me up when I attempt to take a nap.  One of these days I might post a pic of my ever expanding belly, its so big!!

Over the past weekend Larry agreed to work in Astoria for 3 days after my mom generously offered to come take care of me while he was away.  She and I had a great time watching a few movies and playing scrabble.  She basically cleaned the house top to bottom and did all of our laundry.  It was nice to have 3 hot meals a day for a change.

I had my weekly check up this morning and all is well as usual.  I was told that I could switch from strict bedrest to moderate on Monday which means I can walk around the house more and cook a couple of meals during the day.  The babies heart rates, kidneys, and lungs are all functioning well so Dr. Winkler is still confident that if I were to deliver after I'm 35 weeks the babies would come home with us.  If I don't go into labor by 37 weeks they'll just schedule an inducement which would be around the 30th of October.

Larry's 30th birthday is this Saturday but he may have to work and I can't actually take him out or anything.  My original plan (pre-pregnancy) was that I would take him out to a Mexican restaurant that has a Mariachi (sp.?) band.  Instead I asked my Pappy to make him bread pudding and his mom might bring dinner for that evening.  Larry has a busy work week ahead of him so he doesn't really want to do anything on his Birthday besides rest so obviously that works for my current state of being.

That would be so awesome if the girls were born on the 30th of October because that's my birthday and that would be the bestest present ever! I would be honored to share that day with them :)
