33weeks 4days

I had a very good appointment this morning.  Both babies were very active, as usual, but now I know why my pubic bone has been so sore lately.  Layla's head is right under my pubic bone by my cervix.  Ruby weighs about 4lbs 3oz and Layla is about 4lbs 13oz, but I don't know how long they're measureing.  Dr. Coleman and my sonographer Kirsten were very pleased that I had made it this far and told me to continue doing what I'm doing which is a whole lot of nothing:-)  I will continue to take the nifedipine through 36 weeks and I will be seen by my drs once a week for the next couple weeks and then it may be twice a week at the end.  Dr. Coleman said something about doing a biophysical profile in the last weeks to make sure the babies are doing okay in the limited amount of space but I'm not sure what that test entails.  My next appointment is next Tuesday and it should be a pretty simple exam just to make sure me and the babies are okay.

Yesterday Larry brought me to Winco with him for the weekly shopping trip.  I had to ride in one of those electric shopping carts otherwise I'm sure I would have gone in to full on labor.  The walk from the car into the store was excruciating on its own; not a big surprise considering its the furthest I've walked since some time in August.  It was nice to get out but by the middle of the trip my back and abdomen were in pain and I was more that ready to return to my bed.

I'm doing a lot better with the bed rest these days but its hard to not want to get up and help out around the house.  I cleaned the kitchen once last week along with the guest room and a little organizing of the baby's room.  Larry was pretty miffed that I did those things so I promised I wouldn't do it again.  I just feel so bad that he's got a lot on his plate and I wish I could help out more.
